Sevastopol', a seaport on the Crimean peninsula, has been exposed to the tensions between Ukraine and Russia since 1991. The tensions have political and cultural concerns. The latter ones are evoked by inscribing town history into a particular national narrative. The Internet is an important tool for expressing national concerns and opinion-making. This articles examines the discussion of these issues as presented on both political sides, and it highlights some key discursive points, which have been extensively politicised. The study is presented in the context of history and cultural studies.
